We support the discovery of promising startup ideas applicable to future technologies and markets, aiming to facilitate their actual commercialization. We encourage innovative ideas and provide awards and special benefits to help transform them into real startups or businesses. We kindly request your keen interest and participation.

Selection method and scale

Preliminary evaluation About 22 teams selected through documents evaluation
Final Round Submission of business data (PPT) → Feedback and evaluation from experts in each field during the Final Round → Final selection and awards
  • The main venue is Daegu EXCO (5th floor of the West hall, EXCO, 10 EXCO-ro, Buk-gu, Daegu)
  • In consideration of the operational characteristics of the final presentations, rest facilities and refreshments will be provided within the competition venue.
  • Detailed preparation instructions will be provided only to those who advance to the final round.

Awards and Follow-up Support

  • Award the final 8 teams with Grand Prize, Excellence Award, Merit Award, and Encouragement Award.
  • Award a total of 7.9M KRW in prize money according to the selected rankings.

Precautions and etc

  • Submitted documents will not be returned, and if any discrepancies are found between the submitted documents and the facts, the selection may be canceled.
  • Any disadvantages resulting from errors or omissions in the application form or failure to contact the participant will be the sole responsibility of the participant.
  • This announcement is subject to change due to circumstances, and any changes will be posted on the official website of the 2024 Global Innovator Festa (https://www.gifesta.kr/).
  • If a participant who has been finally selected withdraws or participates insincerely, they may face disadvantages in participating in other projects by Daegu Metropolitan City and the Daegu Center for Creative Economy & Innovation.
